Hello, my name is Ethan Pettit. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to the Lafuente Family Trust for the life-changing opportunity it has provided me. Because of the Trust, I am able to enjoy a successful career in aviation as a pilot doing what I truly love. I did not always know that piloting was an interest of mine, however, when that passion became clear, the Trust gave me a direction and a clear path forward.
Throughout my flight training and studies, I spent countless hours listening, practicing, and learning in stressful environments while being tested under pressure. There were undoubtedly challenging days and long hours, but the support of the Lafuente Family Trust was a huge part of staying motivated and focused. This gracious investment in my education and belief in my potential fueled my determination to master the complex concepts of aviation. Honoring the trust and resources that were invested in me was the motivation that I needed to work hard and succeed.
Today, I am proud to say that I am a pilot flying for NetJets. Every week I get to see a new city, mountain range, river, lake, or country while flying around the world. Throughout my life, some of my biggest interests have always been travel, weather, and geography. It was only later that I realized a career in aviation would be the perfect way to incorporate all of these interests into a job that feels like a hobby. Every time I step into the flight deck, I am reminded of the Lafuente Family Trust and how my career and continued education were made possible. Thank you for removing the financial barriers in my way and allowing me to pursue a profession that brings me so much joy and fulfillment every single day.
